Configuration Tips

Since I often give advice on configuring software, I have documented some common things here so that it is available to anyone interested, and so that I am less likely to forget something. Don't expect this to be organized particularly well, though...

 

Configuring Microsoft Windows XP Immediately after installing Windows XP, I always configure it to be as secure and efficient as possible.
Securing Microsoft Windows Since Win32 platforms have so many security holes, I have included a few tips to make it a bit more secure. Of course, this is not meant to be exhaustive, and is really targetted at home users who want to connect a box to the Internet without being utterly terrified of getting hacked.
